Ferris, Busscher &
Zwiers has been helping businesses, organizations, and individuals
with their financial affairs since 1959, when Mr. Dwight Ferris
established the firm as a sole proprietorship. The firm has grown
steadily since then, in response to the burgeoning business activity
in West Michigan and the increasingly complex needs of its clients.
Today, we offer not
only a full range of traditional accounting and auditing services,
but also counsel and advice in a variety of highly specialized
fields, such as tax planning, employee benefits, and management
compensation. We work closely with our clients in defining their
needs and internal capabilities, making adjustments, as needed,
in the types of services we provide.
We're very sensitive
to the impact of technology; not only on our profession, but
also on the manner in which our clients do business. One of our
priorities is to stay abreast of the latest technological developments,
as well as those that are driven by new laws, regulations, and
governmental policies. Both our partners and our associates maintain
membership in a number of professional associations, including:
The American Institute
of Certified Public Accountants
The Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants
The National Society of Accountants for Cooperatives
We are also a participating
member of BKR International, a leading global association of independent
accounting and business advisory firms representing the expertise of more
than 135 member firms with over 300 offices in over 70 countries around
the world. By working with our BKR
affiliates, we are able to provide reliable expertise and service
to those clients whose operations and interests may extend well
beyond the Holland area.
As a result, Ferris,
Busscher & Zwiers can offer many of the advantages found
in a national firm while retaining the independence, atmosphere,
and personalized service that have been the hallmark of our organization
since its inception.
